COMMUNICATIONS/TRANSCEIVERS
WV Communications designs and manufactures a variety of state of the art communication transceivers. These generally operate in the communication bands of 30 MHz to 88 MHz, 108 MHz to 156 MHz, and 225 MHz to 400 MHz. The transceivers handle AM, FM, and data (usually QPSK) modulation formats. Frequency step size is usually 8.333 kHz and the transceivers are capable of fast frequency hopping . In general the performance is excellent – very high intercept points, low noise figures, and superb phase noise on the local oscillators. Transmit powers of up to 50 Watts are available with excellent DC to RF efficiencies. Communication and control is through a high speed serial bus.
