Hardware/Software Engineer.

Job Description: WV Communications, Inc., a world class RF/Microwave Solutions Company in Newbury Park, CA is seeking an enthusiastic and capable Hardware/ Software Engineer with experience working with Embedded Processors, FPGA, and the ability to learn additional programs, as required. Our product line consists of innovative, high technology, quality electronic hardware, software, and sub-systems for both Military and Commercial applications that are installed and operational worldwide. Job Requirements include: 1. Knowledge of a. Embedded System Design i. 8 and 16 bit processors ii. FPGA b. Desktop Application Design i. Linux and Windows ii. Qt iii. Visual Studio iv. C++ c. Design Tools i. Atmel AVR Studio ii. Xilinx ISE iii. Open Watcom (C Compiler) d. Digital and Analog Hardware i. Analysis Digital and Analog Schematics ii. Design of Digital and Analog systems 2. Desired Skills a. 16-bit x86 Embedded Development i. C ii. Assembly b. Atmel XMega i. AVR Studio ii. Familiarity with XMega architecture iii. C c. FPGA Development i. Xilinx ISE ii. Knowledge of Spartan series FPGA’s iii. Verilog HDL d. Desktop Development i. Linux application development ii. C++ iii. Qt 3. Basic Skills a. In Process inspector.

Job Description: WV Communications, Inc., a world class RF/Microwave Solutions Company in Newbury Park, CA is seeking an In-Process/Final Inspector to inspect electronic equipment with its subassemblies (PCBAs, harnesses, chassis assembly, etc.) for compliance with engineering drawings, bills of material, wiring diagrams and IPC-610 / IPC-620 workmanship standards. Must be able to perform Final Inspection of electromechanical assemblies. Job Requirements: • High school diploma with a minimum of five (5) years' experience as a quality inspector in the electronics manufacturing; • Knowledge/training in IPC-610 Class 3/IPC-620 Class 3; • Able to read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, parts list, ECOs, rework instructions, traveler, etc.; • Experience in First Article Inspection, ESD and FOD; • Experience using microscope and measuring devices including multimeter, caliper, and micrometer; • Must be able to perform Final Inspection of electromechanical assemblies. • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background and drug screening.
